At Matchatori we offer several matchas because, just like wine, each region and cultivar has its own flavour. Soil, climate and craftsmanship shape the taste – from soft and sweet to vibrant and mineral. Our range lets you explore Japan’s different terroirs, one bowl at a time.

We set short expiration dates on purpose. One bag in this bundle expires at the end of October, 3 at the end of November and 1 at the end of January. However they last at least 6-12 months longer.

This summer, taste your way through Japan, region by region. Our Discovery Set brings together five unique matchas sourced directly from the family farms we've built relationships with over years of traveling to Japan. No blends, no shortcuts—just teas that tell you exactly where they come from.
Start your day with No. 2 Traditional Ceremonial Grade Matcha, a smooth and balanced classic. Keep No. 5 Everyday Ceremonial Grade close at hand for the effortless bowls you whisk without a second thought—accessible and gently sweet. Explore the bright, vegetal notes of No. 7 Tsuyuhikari, a rare cultivar celebrated for its intensity. Discover the elegant, soft character of No. 9 Mt Fuji Ceremonial Grade, grown in the shadow of Japan's most iconic mountain. And as the afternoon warms up, cool down with an iced latte made with No. 3 Latte Grade, crafted specifically to pair with milk and ice.
Five matchas. Five stories. A summer of discovery.

OUR STORY

The Journey to Matchatori

Matchatori was born from a journey—both literal and personal. It all started when Anton, feeling lost in life, booked a spontaneous solo trip to Japan. He didn’t know what he was looking for, but once there, matcha found him. From the quiet corners of traditional tea houses to the vibrant streets of Tokyo, he discovered something more than just a drink—he found a way of life.
