Created together with Stella Parnevik, the Awakening Bowl and Chasen Holder are made for a calm moment in your day.

The bowl invites you to slow down. The holder keeps your chasen protected and ready for use. Together they make your daily cup a small, quiet routine.

Both the bowl and whisk holder are handmade and hand-glazed, which means each piece is unique. The bowl you receive may vary slightly from the images.

This kit contains one matcha bowl (500ml) and one matcha whisk holder.

Handcrafted matcha spoon in bamboo

Handcrafted from a single piece of natural bamboo. A chashaku offers precise, consistent dosing of matcha powder and is a staple of the traditional tea ceremony. Because no dyes or finishes are applied, each scoop carries the bamboo’s own character: subtle variations in tone and grain that make every piece one of a kind.

This matcha bowl is crafted by hand and finished with a smooth, hand-glazed surface that gives every piece its own character. The gentle curves and soft blue tone create a calm & refined feel. Perfect for your daily matcha ritual.

Because each bowl is individually shaped and glazed, no two pieces are exactly alike. Subtle variations in color, texture, and form make your bowl truly one-of-a-kind.

A functional and beautiful piece designed to elevate the way you prepare and enjoy matcha.

This matcha bowl is handmade and hand-glazed, giving it a softness and character that mass-produced pieces can’t replicate. The rosy glaze settles gently across the surface, creating natural variations that reflect the movement of the artisan’s hands.

Its rounded shape rests comfortably in your hand, making your matcha ritual feel calmer, more intentional, and a little more special. Whether you use it every day or only during quiet moments, the bowl adds a warm, inviting touch to the experience.

Because each bowl is shaped and glazed by hand, it develops its own unique expression. Subtle differences in color, texture, and form are part of its charm — no two pieces are ever exactly the same. A beautiful, functional piece that transforms matcha from a simple habit into a ritual you genuinely look forward to.

This handcrafted matcha bowl is shaped and glazed entirely by hand, giving it a depth and character that cannot be replicated by machines. The soft purple glaze settles beautifully across the surface, creating gentle shifts in tone that reflect the movement of the artisan’s hands.

Its organic curves fit naturally in your hands, making the act of preparing matcha feel slower, more intentional, and more grounded. Whether used every morning or reserved for your most peaceful moments, the bowl adds a sense of calm to the ritual.

Because each piece is handmade and hand-glazed, subtle variations in color, shape, and texture are part of its charm. No two bowls are ever identical — the one you receive is truly one-of-a-kind. Designed to be both functional and beautiful, it transforms matcha preparation into an experience.

Handcrafted from natural, uncolored dark bamboo with 100 finely carved prongs for a smooth, rich froth. Because no dyes or finishes are applied, each whisk carries the bamboo’s own character: subtle variations in tone and grain that make every piece one of a kind.

Our hand crafted Matcha Whisk features 100 springs for a perfectly frothed and smooth matcha experience. Say goodbye to clumps and hello to a deliciously creamy and invigorating cup of matcha. Crafted with care, this whisk is sure to elevate your matcha ritual.

• Soak the whisk in warm water for 1 minyte before the first use.

• Whisk gently in an “M” or “W” motion, not pressing the bottom.

• Rinse and dry carefully after each use.

• Store on a chasen holder to keep its shape.

• Never leave the whisk wet or standing in water.

Roasted tea made from pan-fired tea

Hojicha (焙じ茶) is Japanese green tea that has been roasted. The heat turns the leaves reddish brown and gives the tea a toasty, nutty aroma. It becomes softer and less bitter than the green tea it started as. This hojicha is ground to a powder, so you whisk it just like matcha.

Almost all green tea in Japan is steamed right after harvest. This tea starts instead as kamairicha (釜炒り茶), tea that is heated in an iron pan. That is unusual in Japan, and hojicha made from kamairicha is rarer still. The tea is heated twice: first in the pan, then roasted into hojicha.

No 1 is deeply roasted. The powder has a café au lait colour and a light note of sandalwood. It comes from Miyazaki on Kyushu, Japan's southernmost main island, harvested in 2025.

How to make it: Whisk 2 g of powder with 70 ml of water at 80 °C.

As a latte: Whisk 3–4 g with 80 ml of water at 80 °C and pour in milk. Dairy, oat, almond and soy all work.

Storage: An unopened pouch keeps for a year. Once opened, it tastes best within six weeks.

This superior ceremonial-grade matcha showcases the finest tea cultivation in Kagoshima. Grown in fertile volcanic soil and meticulously processed, it offers exceptional purity, depth, and refinement.

With a smooth, creamy mouthfeel, it delivers a perfect balance of umami, gentle bitterness, and natural sweetness. Its vibrant green color reflects its premium quality, while notes of artichoke, moss, and young greens, with a hint of toasted hazelnut, create a complex yet delicate flavor.

As one of the highest-quality matcha offerings, this luxurious ceremonial-grade matcha is crafted for those who seek an authentic, elevated tea experience. Its silky texture and deep, lingering finish make it perfect for traditional whisked matcha.

In collaboration with Stella Parnevik, we created Awakening, a first harvest ceremonial matcha from Asahina in Shizuoka. Grown in one of Japan’s most respected tea regions, it has a vibrant green colour and a smooth, refined taste.

Awakening is about taking your time. It turns your daily cup into a calm moment, an invitation to slow down before the day begins.

Blended from first and second harvest tencha grown in Yame, Fukuoka, this matcha delivers a smooth, toasty flavor with rich umami, gentle sweetness, and a refreshing finish.

The leaves are lightly roasted to add warmth and depth while keeping the taste clean. Crafted to shine in a latte, it also makes for a refined and balanced usucha (thin, straight matcha).

Best before 31 January 2027, but the matcha keeps well for another 6–12 months, even longer if stored in the fridge.

A premium ceremonial matcha with a rich and aromatic character. Its balanced intensity and deep umami create a smooth, full-bodied flavor that feels incredibly creamy from the very first sip. This is the kind of matcha that leaves a lasting impression.

The aroma is gentle yet complex, with soft floral and vegetal notes supported by light nutty undertones and a subtle roasted touch. Hints of fruitiness, fresh grass, and warm wood add even more depth, making the experience both comforting and layered. Every sip offers a creamy texture, a round flavor, and a beautiful sense of balance.

A rare and exceptionally refined ceremonial matcha grown at the foot of Japan’s most iconic mountain.

This Okumidori variety comes from a restored tea field surrounded by forest and enriched by Mt. Fuji’s pure air and volcanic soil. The result is a matcha with deep umami, a smooth and creamy taste, and a vibrant aroma with real complexity.

Each harvest develops its own unique character. Like wine, you can enjoy the natural flavor variations from year to year and experience the dedication of the producers in every sip.

Yabukita is a classic Japanese tea cultivar often associated with sencha, but when crafted as matcha it reveals a completely different personality. This version, grown at the foot of Mt. Fuji, has a naturally mineral taste shaped by the region’s volcanic soil and pure mountain environment. The result is a fuller and more robust flavor compared to our smoother ceremonial blends.

From the first sip you notice its presence. It is not a delicate matcha. It has depth, warmth, and a satisfying richness that lingers in the best possible way. The subtle mineral notes give it a grounded, almost earthy elegance that makes it incredibly memorable.

Behind this matcha is the work of growers who tend each leaf with exceptional care throughout the year. Their craftsmanship brings out the unique character of Yabukita, highlighting its complexity and giving it a profile that stands apart from more traditional ceremonial matchas.

This is a matcha for those who want something distinctive, bold, and full of personality.
A cup with real depth, mineral clarity, and a flavor you will not forget.

A bold and memorable matcha with a deep, addictive flavor.

Yabukita is best known as a sencha variety, yet it reveals a completely new side when crafted as matcha. Growing at the foot of Mt.
