At Matchatori we offer several matchas because, just like wine, each region and cultivar has its own flavour. Soil, climate and craftsmanship shape the taste – from soft and sweet to vibrant and mineral. Our range lets you explore Japan’s different terroirs, one bowl at a time.

This bundle contains one Awakening Ceremonial Grade Matcha 40 g, one Awakening Matcha Bowl and one whisk holder.

Created together with Stella Parnevik, the Awakening Bundle pairs ceremonial matcha with a handcrafted bowl and whisk holder for your daily matcha ritual.

Awakening is a first-harvest ceremonial matcha from Asahina in Shizuoka, with a smooth, refined flavour.

The bowl and holder are handmade and hand-glazed. Small variations in colour, texture and shape make each piece individual, so the item you receive may differ slightly from the photographs.

OUR STORY

The Journey to Matchatori

Matchatori was born from a journey—both literal and personal. It all started when Anton, feeling lost in life, booked a spontaneous solo trip to Japan. He didn’t know what he was looking for, but once there, matcha found him. From the quiet corners of traditional tea houses to the vibrant streets of Tokyo, he discovered something more than just a drink—he found a way of life.
